As Training Specialist for AARC Professional Services, I took the opportunity at our latest quarterly team meeting in London on 17th October to talk to my fellow associates about the training services that we are providing to clients. This was particularly helpful as, with over 20 associates, many of whom are engaged across a diverse range of specialisms, we are not always aware of what our colleagues are involved in/working on.
During the meeting, I gave a presentation highlighting the outputs from recent training projects, helping to give fellow associates a better understanding of the training services made available through AARCPS. This included our commitment to continuously recognising and implementing best practice across all of our training packages, as well as embedding non-technical skills into our training. We also actively promote trainee engagement and ownership of self-development, structuring our training in such a way as to cater for all learning styles, whilst recognising and acting upon the psychology of learning.
Enthusiastically received, the presentation helped to generate plenty of discussion, particularly around one of AARCPS’s core themes – creating a legacy of positive change in the industry. Now that I’ve had the opportunity to shine the spotlight on my specialism, I really look forward to hearing from other colleagues about their respective roles at future team meetings.
