A good knowledge of control systems, processes and procedures in rail and other industries, including British Gas (1985 – 1998).

Experience:
Railway Operations
Managed the fit-out/opening of Romford ROC and the introduction of Digital Technologies for Signalling and Control, including Train Operating Companies (TOCs).
Established a ROC Governance Process to maintain ROC integrity and availability during high levels of Change.
Research, development and delivery of Operations and Maintenance Strategies.
Successful delivery of Traffic Management into Anglia Route, including the development of new processes and an operating model and the delivery of training for operators, maintainers, including TOC rolling stock & driver depots
Projects & Engineering
Responsible for delivering IT services for Operations and Customer Service, including the Performance Data Accuracy Code, changes to SMART, TRUST & CCF via the industry Systems Code of Practice. Delivery of upgrades to the Safety Management Information System (SMIS)
Represented Network Rail in Europe for the development of European Operations & Maintenance standards for interoperability.
Lead the Year 2000 mainframe compliance programme, dealing with identification and remediation of Year 2000 issues.
Sponsorship of the IECC Scalable upgrade at Upminster IECC and associated refurbishment works
Development and implementation of sales, engineering, and work-scheduling field systems
Implementation of the LAWSON client-server Financials, Payroll & Business Customer sales processes and systems
Delivery of Management Information for Operational Planning for British Gas
Scientific Analyst, creating computer models for river & estuary experiments for Civil Service
Training & Development
Delivery of training, induction, and successful migration of 130+ Anglia & TOC Control Staff to Romford ROC. Including systems inventory and end to end testing with contingency plans.
