If you’re a regular visitor to the ‘Blog’ section of the AARC Professional Services (AARCPS) website, you’ll know that as a rail consultancy run by railway people for railway people, we’re always on the lookout for suitable opportunities to meet industry colleagues and support our mission of:
‘Bringing together like-minded rail professionals with the common aim of providing expert, sustainable and quality certificated support to the industry, delivering outstanding outcomes for clients, from frontline to boardroom.’
Having attended a number of rail industry events as exhibitors across 2024, this year’s calendar is already filling up, with our first event taking place on Thursday 6th March at Rail Infrastructure Networking (RIN) London, to be held at the Business Design Centre, Angel Islington from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
Organised by rail specialist insurance broker Jobson James Rail, RIN is a series of events aimed at bringing together colleagues from the rail infrastructure industry for a variety of networking opportunities, minus the distractions of speeches or presentations. The events are held quarterly at locations across the country and are designed to suit all budgets, making them accessible to industry suppliers of all shapes and sizes.
September 2024 saw AARCPS attend its first RIN event when we exhibited at Derby, with myself and associates Chris Rowley and Kevin Martin meeting some of the 1,300 attendees to tell them how we provide our clients with outstanding outcomes. For me personally, what also made RIN particularly attractive was that unlike many other full-day/two-day events, during our time at the Derby event, we were able to actively engage with those visiting our stand for the majority of the 4 ½ hour running time. As such, AARCPS will be attending all of this year’s RIN events*, starting on 6th March in London where we will have a dedicated stand supported by myself and AARCPS associates. This will be followed by:
- RIN Glasgow – Thursday 22nd May 2025, Hilton Glasgow, William Street, Glasgow
- RIN Derby – Thursday 11th September 2025, Derby Arena, Derby
- RIN Harrogate – Thursday 13th November 2025, The Great Yorkshire Events Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground
As well as the RIN events, AARCPS will be exhibiting at its first overseas event when it attends Rail Link in Dublin on Thursday 10th April, to be held at the Aviva Stadium, adjacent to Lansdowne Road DART Station in Dublin. Aimed at fostering interactions among key stakeholders in the Irish rail industry, like RIN, the event will be without the interruptions of speeches or presentations and provides the perfect platform for connecting with industry peers.
In addition to the above and as an active member of the Rail Infrastructure Association (RIA), AARCPS will also be attending a number of other industry events across the year, not least RIA’s Annual Conference in November, which, if like last year’s event, will provide a fascinating insight into key issues affecting the rail sector, as told by a range of senior figures from across the industry.
