It’s been a busy time for the business, with September seeing us enhance our service offering (see the home page of the website), achieve Cyber Essentials certification and continue our drive towards ISO9001 accreditation – all designed to enhance the quality of service we provide to our customers. So we were delighted to have the opportunity to showcase these changes to industry colleagues at the latest Rail Infrastructure Networking (RIN) event in Derby on 12th September.
Led by rail specialist insurance broker Jobson James Rail, the event is one of three held annually, with each designed to bring the rail infrastructure industry together in one room without the distraction of speeches or presentations. At Derby, it was an early start for us and the other 175 exhibitors, giving us enough time to literally set out our collective stalls before the 9am opening, with the AARC stand manned by myself and associates Chris Rowley and Kevin Martin, as well as Dan Bullock, who was on hand to film footage for our future marketing activity.
During the event, over 1,300 people set foot through the doors, with those visiting our stand ranging from recruiters through to people wanting to sell to us, with myself, Chris and Martin taking part in several engaging discussions about the services we are able to offer. And unlike other full-day/two-day events, we actively engaged with those visiting our stand for almost the whole of the 4.5 hours running time – I even had a couple of people queuing to speak to me as the event closed! Thanks to Chris, Kevin and Dan for all of their help on the day.
In summary, it was a great event and with it lasting only half a day, people told us they left feeling energised and enthused. As a rail consultancy with a nationwide reach and with RIN events taking place across the country, we’ll certainly be attending in the future and are already looking at London, Derby and Harrogate for 2025 – https://www.rinevents.co.uk.
